Florabell I. Writz

Florabell I. Writz 85, 304 Elm St., Athens, died Monday, December 31, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. She was born May 29, 1916 in Athens, daughter of the late George Sr. and Anna (Klein) Frahm. On October 5, 1941, she married Frank Writz at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1991. Florabell was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers, playing bingo, doing things around the house but most especially enjoyed playing with her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Ramona Murkowski, Wausau and Judy Brendemuehl, Athens; one son Leon Writz, Wausau; 5 grandsons; one great granddaughter; one sister, Dorothy (Leonard) Bonin, Calumet City, IL; six brothers, Harold Frahm, Leonard Frahm Sr. and Leroy (Sophie) Frahm all of Athens, Marvin (Bev) Frahm, West Allis, Rueben (Myrna) Frahm, Ringle and John (Florence) Frahm, Wausau. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2002 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the church. There will be a 7:00 p.m. vigil service Thursday evening at the Athens funeral home.
