Evelyn E. Sprenger

Evelyn E. Sprenger 89, Athens, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford. She was born December 5, 1920 in town of Johnson, daughter of the late John and Katherine (Bach) Schremp. On June 15, 1954 she married Joseph A. Sprenger at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. He preceded her in death. Evelyn worked several years at a telephone office and after her marriage she worked with the hot lunch program at the Athens grade school. She was a member of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Erma Schremp, Wausau, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. The Very Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
