Evelyn Spangle

Evelyn Spangle, age 90, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. She was born April 4, 1923 in Stevens Point, daughter of the late William and Martha (Trzinski) Niemczyk. Evelyn retired from Wausau Hospital Center in 1985 after 23 years of employment. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing bingo and decorating her home for each and every holiday. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Wyro, Schofield; son, Michael "Mike" (Mary) Homan, Washington; two grandchildren, Mark (Karen) Wyro and Tessa Homan; two great-grandchildren, Calub Wyro and Katie (Peter) Wyro-Korbisch; six great great-grandchildren, Markea, Jaydin, Korrena, Airiana, Nerak and K'Stin; one brother, Sylvester (Bev) Niemczyk, Stevens Point; one sister, Sophie Laska, Fond du Lac; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry "Dee" Wyro, sisters, Tina Pelot, Pearl King and Susan Sadogierski, brother, Chester Niemczyk, and special friend, Leo Janikowski. The funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will preside. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
