Evelyn Rosemurgy

Evelyn (Gilbertson) Rosemurgy 94, Wausau, went to meet her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2009 after a life graced with faith, family and friends. Her final days were spent under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Hospice House, Wausau. She was born October 20, 1914 in LeRoy, Minn., daughter of the late Henry and Betsy Gilbertson. She came to Wakefield, Mich. In 1921 where she attended the Wakefield Township schools, graduating with the class of 1934. The following year she attended the Woodward School of Business in Ironwood, Mich. Evelyn then worked as a secretary for the Kollander Insurance Agency. On October 16, 1937 Evelyn was married to John Rosemurgy by the Rev. Byquist at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wakefield. They moved to Wausau in March of 1941 when her husband and his brother, Stuart purchased the Ford Agency. Evelyn loved traveling, belonged to the Wausau Women's Club and was involved with many church activities. Survivors include four children, John Rosemurgy Jr., Wausau, Robert Rosemurgy, Lake Tomahawk, Jean (Jim) Curtis, Scottsdale, Ariz. and Stuart (Patty) Rosemurgy, Texas; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one sister, Nelva Olejniczak, Appleton and special friend Marcia. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2009 at Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Rev. Karen Zutz Rendall will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from noon until the time of services all at Restlawn Memorial Park Chapel.
