Evelyn M. Kolasinski

September 21, 1913 — February 23, 2008

Evelyn M. Kolasinski 94, Wausau, died Saturday February 23, 2008 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center. She was born September 21, 1913, in Marathon, daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Dahlke) Pyan. On July 26, 1939, she married Anton "Tony" Kolasinski in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death May 11, 1967. Evelyn was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wausau. Prior to her retirement, Evelyn had been employed at Johnson Hills, Herberger's and JC Penny. Among her favorite pastimes were fishing with her husband, tending her flowers, yard work and crossword puzzles. She also loved to bowl and play Cribbage at the Legion Club. Survivors include two sisters, Edna Hess, Wausau and Irene Hansel, Appleton. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hattie Larson and Hilda Lodholz, five brothers, Harry, Alvin, Marvin, Edward and Milo Pyan. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 8, 2008 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Mary Kay Sauter will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
