Evan Lyle Rieck

Evan Lyle Rieck 18, Wausau, died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at his home. He was born June 24, 1989 in Yankton, S.D., son of Paul and Stephanie (Darnell) Rieck. Evan was a senior at Wausau West High School. He will be remembered as having a great sense of humor and for his sensitivity to other people's feelings. Among his many hobbies he enjoyed art, snowboarding and water sports. He also enjoyed music and played the bass guitar. Survivors include his parents, Paul and Stephanie Rieck, Wausau; siblings, Brian (Alissa) Rieck, Stevens Point, Morgan Rieck and Nathan Rieck, both at home; grandparents, Dorothy Paul, Lithchfield, Minn. and Lyle and JoDene Darnell, Carthage, S.D.; great grandmother, Delpha Halsey, Carthage, S.D.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edwin Rieck. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Friends may call Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
