Eunice Mary Ann (Imhoff) Wimmer

Eunice Mary Ann Wimmer, 83, Marathon, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Mountain Terrace in Wausau.

She was born September 12, 1941 in the Town of Cassel, daughter of the late Alex and Mary Ann (Jansen) Imhoff.  On November 24, 1979, she married Lawrence “Larry” N. Wimmer.  He preceded her in death on December 31, 2002.

In her younger years, Eunice was a caregiver for local residents in Wausau and throughout her life cleaned for many businesses and homes in the Marathon area.

Eunice was a longtime, active and devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon and loved attending Mass, consistently cleaning the church and spending time with the Lord.  Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed stamping, crocheting, taking pictures, attending ballgames, watching the Green Bay Packers, loved to go to Packer parties at church and babysitting at the Marathon Swin Center.

Survivors include four sisters, Nancy Imhoff, Wausau, Rita (Ron) Passow, Wausau, Karen (Myron) Totzke, Wausau and Mary (Thomas) Ugoretz, Edgar; one brother, James (Millie) Imhoff, Edgar; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Larry, she was preceded in death by one brother, Myron; one sister, Christine Imhoff; brother-in-law, Leonard Olbrantz.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon.  Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
