Eugene I. Piaszak

Eugene I. Piaszak 90, Wausau, died Saturday July 12, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. He was born January 23, 1918, in Wausau, son of the late Joseph and Magdalene (Levandowski) Piaszak. On April 30, 1937, he married Leona Krecji at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death July 27, 2000. Eugene had been employed as atruck driver for 44 years prior to his retirement in 1981. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include one son, James Piaszak, Wausau, a special niece, Arlene Kluever, Wausau, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sara and four brothers, Tony, Steve, Jim and Mike Piaszak. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Weds. July 16, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
