Eugene L. Knoblock

Eugene "Gene" L. Knoblock 61, Wausau, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. He was born June 17, 1946 in Antigo, son of Gertrude (Theilman) Schmitt and the late Leonard Knoblock. On June 21, 1969 he married Janis Neumann in Wausau. She survives. He worked as a truck driver for several companies throughout the years. Gene enjoyed hunting, going to auctions and watching birds. He was an avid tractor collector and above all loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Janis "Jan", Wausau; son, Travis Knoblock, Ringle; mother, Gertrude Schmitt, Rhinelander; grandchildren, Tristan and Tyler Knoblock, Ringle; brother, Russell Knoblock, Wausau; sister, Darlene (Robert) Kuick, Manitowoc; half-sister, Sandra (Bill) Larson, Rhinelander; brothers-in-law, Ben Beaulieu, Weston, David Neumann, Wausau and Daniel Neumann, Wausau; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Gary) Miller, Wausau, Susan (Roger) Shidell, Kronenwetter, Sherri (Perry) Strehlow, Weston and Sandra (Bruce) Shidell, Kronenwetter; Brad (Roechelle) Schmitt, Wausau and Candy Schmitt, Manitowoc and many other relatives and friends. Besides his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Beaulieu. Funeral Services will be 11a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Deacon Robert Anderson will officiate. Friends may call Friday from 4-7 p.m. and again Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services all at the 6th Street Funeral Home.
