Eugene J. Felzkowski

Eugene J. Felzkowski 69, 2126 Setter Drive, Mosinee, died Saturday, December 15, 2001 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Gene was born January 20, 1932 in the town of Rietbrock, son of Helen (Springer) Felzkowski, Athens and the late Ed Felzkowski. He married Lucille Syring June 9, 1951 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. She survives. Prior to his retirement, Gene was employed as a maintenance engineer at Schofield Enterprises and Marathon Electric. Gene loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. Survivors besides his wife, Lucille Felzkowski, Mosinee and his mother, Helen Felzkowski, Athens, include three daughters, LuAnn (L. Thomas) Mucha, Merrill, Betty (Chris) Rabehl, Athens and Debbie (Harold Tietz) Beck, Mosinee, four grandchildren, Ramona Koch, Arizona, Shane Heinrich, Wausau, Stephanie Heinrich, California and Samantha Rabehl, Athens, three great grandchildren, Dacotah, Tyler and Zachary, one brother, Duane (Ceil) Felzkowski. Besides his father, Ed Felzkowski, Gene was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Bernamm. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Allan Slowiak will officiate. Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
