Eugene E. Cherek

Eugene E.Cherek 71, Wausau, died Tuesday August 8, 2006 in Arbor Vitae. He was born November 6, 1935 in Wausau, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Jaskolski) Cherek. Prior to his retirement, Eugene had been employed as a grocery store clerk. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include a sister, Pearl Schwartz, Westmont, Ill., two nephews, James (Mary Kay) DeBroux, Mosinee, James Jr.( Phyllis) Cherek, Cheyenne, Wyo., two nieces, Kay (Steve) Halder, Middleton, Gail Schwartz, Westmont, Ill., and several great nieces an nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Florence DeBroux and a brother, James Cherek Sr. Private family services will be held at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau.
