Eugene J. Belter

Eugene J. Belter 71, W1150 Buck Avenue, Medford, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. He was born March 16, 1934 in Athens, son of Joseph Belter, Edgar and the late Mary (Milkowski) Belter. On December 1, 1964 Eugene married Ethel Marthaler at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. She survives. Prior to his retirement Eugene was an inspector at Marathon Electric in Wausau and also worked at Miller Implement in Athens. Eugene enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the woods. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Survivors besides his wife Ethel, Medford, include his father, Joseph Belter, Edgar, along with many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. The Rev. Charles Hiebl will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at Athens funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Marshfield Cancer Research Foundation.
