Esther M. Paszek

Esther M. Paszek 81, Wausau, died Monday, May 15, 2006 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston. She was born June 9, 1924 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Mallak) Matushak. On September 25, 1943, she married Stanley Paszek in the town of Cassel. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1970. Esther was a housekeeper in Pediatrics at the former St. Mary Hospital, Wausau. Among her many interests, she enjoyed gardening, playing cards, polka music and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a charter member of The Church of St. Anne. Survivors include, two sons, Marvin (fiancee Kathy) Paszek, Wausau and Gordon (Carol) Paszek, Schofield; three daughters, Grace (Daniel) Kolczak, Kentucky, Jeanette Goetsch, Wausau and Joyce (Thomas) Skare, Schofield; seven grandchildren; one step-grandson; ten great grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Florence Matushak, Marathon, Valarie Matushak, Wausau and Virginia Paszek, Milwaukee. Besides her parents and husband, Stanley, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeffrey Skare; four sisters, Florence Buchberger, Martha Matushak, Theresa Matushak and Sally Brzezinski; and three brothers, Philip, Prosper and Felix Matushak. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
