Esther Frahm
88, formerly of Athens, died Friday, May 3, 2002 at Colonial Manor Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
Esther was born April 12, 1914 in the Town of Halsey, daughter of the late Adolph and Bertha (Kropp) Conrad. On December 10, 1932, she married George Frahm Jr. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1993.
Esther and her husband farmed in the town of Bern until 1968 then moved to Athens. She was the head cook at the Athens High School for 13 years. Esther enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and special to her was the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette (Donald) White, Town of Berlin and Georgian (James) Grassman, Aniwa; one son, Robert (Claudia) Frahm, Athens; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Schmidt, Athens, Loretta Annast, Abbotsford and Olyne Cooper, Springville, Tenn.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Conrad.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. Rev. Donn Radde will officiate. Burial will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church.
