Ervin A. Roesler
76, 610 Schlegel Street, Athens died Wednesday, October 10, 2001 under hospice care at Good Samaritan Hospital, Merrill.
Ervin was born May 20, 1925 in the town of Goodrich, son of the late Fred and Fredericka (Radke) Roesler and attended the town of Halsey area schools. He married Dorothy Boxrucker August 26, 1944 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. She survives.
Ervin and Dorothy farmed in the Town of Goodrich and operated Roesler's Bar in Hamburg. He also was employed at Wausau Homes until ill health forced his to retire in 1976.
Ervin was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WWII.
Survivors besides his wife, Dorothy Roesler, Athens, include two daughters, Bonnie (Donnie) Myszka and Linda Roesler, all of Athens, three sons, John (Lorna) Roesler, Medford, Gordie (Kitty) Roesler and Gene (Stacy) Roesler, all of Athens, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lydia Thuot, Athens and Olga (Ed) Kuck, Wausau.
Besides his parents, Ervin was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Donna Myszka and his five brothers, Ed, Hank, Walt, Julius and Ernest.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2001 at St. John Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Rev. John Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Hamburg. The family will greet friends immediately following the services at the church.
