Ervin "Pike" G. Hart

Ervin G. “Pike” Hart, 67, Athens died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield after a short battle with cancer.

He was born April 29, 1959 in Marshfield, son of the late Cletus and Katherine (Bargender) Hart. Ervin was married to Linda Pohlie and they had twins, Tonya and Daniel. Linda passed away in 2007.

Pike graduated from Athens High School in 1977 and then went to work at Liberty Homes and then retired from Abbyland in 2024.

Some of his favorite pastimes included fishing, spending time in the outdoors, hunting, playing cards, watching the Packers and the Brewers and being at the shack with his brothers and nephews.

Survivors include his twins, Danny (Chrissy) Hart and Tonya Hart, his grandchildren, Siarra and Kinlee, his siblings, Donald Hart, Carol Wisnewski, Karen (Dave) Benna, Linda Drewek, Frank Hart, David Hart, Mary Hanke, Laurie (Donnie) Miller, Mike (Kelly) Hart and Rodney (Liz) Hart and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Marie Bargender and Frank and Anna Hart, his parents, Cletus and Katherine Hart, his brother, Dennis Hart, nephew, Rick Hart, his sisters-in-law, Beverly and Chris Hart and his brothers-in-law, Mark Wisnewski, Steve Drewek and Dave Hanke.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Athens funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
