Ervin W. Kahn
92, Lake Tomahawk, died Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at Dr. Kate Newcomb Convalescent Center, Woodruff.
Ervin was born December 5, 1908 in Wausau, son of the late August and Mary (Salzseider) Kahn. He married Dorothy Netzel-O'Connor April 1944 in Wausau. She preceded him in death on 1987.
Ervin was employed for 32 years as a sheet metal worker at the former American Can Corporation, Rothschild.
He was a great hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed spending time up north.
Survivors include four children, Connie (Delmar "Sleepy") Wadzinski, Lake Tomahawk, Barbara (Merrill) Malkow, Pierz, Minnesota, Richard (Marlys) O'Connor, Schofield, and Patricia (David) Buchkowski, Cottage Grove, Minnesota, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, three brothers, Willis (Edna) Kahn, Alaska, Donald Kahn, Michigan and Harold (Ann) Kahn, Alaska, a sister-in-law, Elsie Kahn, Tomahawk.
Besides his wife, Dorothy and parents, Ervin was preceded in death by an infant son, Ervin Kahn Jr.,one grandchild, one sister, Irma Iverson and one brother, Walter Kahn.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2001 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. James Primley will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ervin's name may be directed to Dr. Kate Newcomb Convalescent Center, Woodruff.
