Erna H. Ludkey

Erna H. Ludkey 100, Wausau, died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at North Central Health Care, Wausau. She was born June 20, 1910 in town of Texas, daughter of the late John and Helen (Krause) Winter. On June 20, 1931 she married Howard Damrow Sr. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1948. On October 5, 1959 she married Richard Ludkey. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1987. Erna was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards, baking and fishing. Survivors include her children, Howard "Zip" Damrow, Manitowish Waters, and Carol (William) Duberstein, Mosinee; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husbands, Howard and Richard, she was preceded in death by a son, Sheldon a granddaughter, Lauri Grohman and a great grandson, Jaelen Vercimak. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Peace United Church of Christ, Schofield. The Rev. Larry Treece will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
