Erlyne M. Howard

Erlyne M. Howard 68, 2605 Jonquil Lane, Wausau, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home. She was born October 4, 1936 in Wausau, daughter of Earl Schmidt, Wausau and the late Mary (Lamont) Schmidt. On June 5, 1958 Erlyne married David Howard in Delafield. He survives. Erlyne spent her childhood in Little Chicago and graduated from Luther School of Nursing, Eau Claire. For over 30 years she worked as a nurse at the Eagle River Memorial Hospital where she made many long lasting relationships. Survivors besides her husband, David, Wausau include her children, Jeffrey Howard and Susan (Randy) Hahn, both of Wausau, her father, Earl (Gertrude) Schmidt, Wausau, one grandson, David J. Howard, Wausau, one sister, Judy Schmidt, Appleton and one aunt, Elvera Krueger, Wausau. Besides her mother, Erlyne was preceded in death by her son John and daughter-in-law, Julia. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the Peterson/Kramer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. The Rev. Thomas Hoelter will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, town of Hamburg. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
