Erin Elizabeth Brost
25, Wausau, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois.
She was born March 17, 1984, daughter of Mark and Judi (McDaniel) Brost of Rib Mountain.
Erin was a 2002 graduate of Wausau West High School.
She lettered in both cross country and track and field and was part of two state qualifying relay teams. She also participated in the Badger State Games winning many medals in track and field. Erin was a very social person and was very active in other sports, including ice skating, soccer and basketball.
Erin was also very creative and artisitic. Among her many interests, she enjoyed sketching, painting, making jewelry and writing. She also loved music, concerts and traveling.
After briefly attending the University of Minnesota, she moved to Albuquerque, N.M. and attended The New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics and the Universal Therapeutic Massage Institute. There, she learned Swedish massage, Swedish gymnastics, polarity, acupressure, reflexology, cranial sacral unwinding, shiatsu, deep tissue and trigger points. Most recently, she made her living using these skills in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Erin will be deeply missed by her family and friends, especially her brother, Matthew, who was her best friend.
Survivors include, her parents, Mark and Judi Brost, Rib Mountain; her brother, Matthew Brost, Minneapolis, Minn.; her grandfather, Alex Brost, Port Washington, Wis.; her aunts and uncles, Scott and Joyce Brost, Port Washington, Barb and Tom Tveit, LaQuinta, Cal., Jaci and Jim Mueller, Madison, Tom and Stacy McDaniel, DeForest, and Greg and Mary McDaniel, Englewood, Fla.; and her cousins, Stacey Brost and her daughter, Taylor, Michael and Lucas Brost, Alexis Tveit, Bryan (Ame) Marks and their daughter, Nadia, and Michael and Jessica McDaniel.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary and Duane Caron, Joan Brost and Dwayne McDaniel.
Visitation will be Monday, August 24, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau.
