Emma Brzezinski, 100, Wausau, died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Benedictine Living Community, Wausau.
She was born December 19, 1916 in the town of Sharon in Portage County Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Susan (Bednarski) Windorski. On November 14, 1936, she married Leo Brzezinski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1998.
Emma was a longtime member of the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus and was a member of St. Catherine's Council. She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her family, especially her many nieces and nephews.
Survivors include, two sisters, Sadie Gruna, Galloway, Wis. and Dorothy Nowitzke, Wausau; two brothers, Philip Windorski, Schofield and Raymond (Rose) Windorski, Lancaster, Cal.; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Leo, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Leon; six brothers, Ted, Ben, Daniel, Hubert, David and Clarence; and two sisters, Wanda Davidowski and Florence Cherek.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
