Elsie M. Krueger

Elsie M. Krueger 83, Wausau, died Thursday, May 13, 2004 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Colonial Manor Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. She was born August 6, 1920 in Henriettental, Germany, daughter of the late Fred and Bertha (Kohlmeyer) Schwartz. On September 19, 1942, she married Gilbert H. Krueger in Birnamwood. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1989. Elsie moved to Birnamwood at the age of three from Germany and farmed in the town of Texas for many years. She enjoyed cooking, canning and gardening. Survivors include her two sons, Arden (Lorraine) Krueger, East Taunton, Mass and Lyle (Shirley) Krueger, Wausau; two granddaughters, Kimberly (Jason) Heaton, Kokomo, Indiana and Miccah Krueger, Wausau; two step grandsons, Joel (Kim) Johnson, Hudson and Jeremy (Sharon) Johnson, Green Bay; two great grandsons, Justin and Kyle Heaton, Kokomo, Indiana; two step great granddaughters, Alexandria & Samantha Johnson, Hudson; one step great grandson, Matthew Johnson, Hudson. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and William Schwartz. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2004 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Leonard Erdman will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. Sunday until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home.
