Elroy W. Sellin

Elroy W. Sellin 76, 523 S. 19th Ave., Wausau, died Friday, December 7, 2001 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Elroy was born August 23, 1925 in Marathon County, son of the late Arthur and Anna (Hintz) Sellin. On July 27, 1957, he married Lorna Hass at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. She survives. Elroy was general manager and slaesman for WRIG & WDEZ radio stations. He was an Alderman in the City of Wausau, Ward #12 and was a member of the Marathon County Board for many years. Elroy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Layman's League, Wausau. He also was a member of the Noon Optimist Club and was active with the Boy Scouts on the local and district levels. Elroy loved gardening but most especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors besides his wife, Lorna, Wausau, include two daughters, Sharla (John) Fritz, Aurora, IL and their children, Anna & Nathaniel, Shelly (William) Littlejohn, Venice, FL and their son, Seth; one son, Steven (Theresa) Sellin, Venice, FL; one sister, Gladys Christian, Wausau. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Fehlhaber and Ilma Plisch. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Dennis Pegorsch will officiate. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau and again from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Layman's League or Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau.
