Elroy E. Miracle

Elroy E. Miracle 89, Rothschild, died Monday, April 22, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born October 25, 1912 in Wausau, son of the late Roy and Frances (Wettstein) Miracle. Elroy married Mary Hrynieski at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. She survives. Elroy was an accountant at Marathon Paper for 30 years until the time of his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Council, Schofield. He served the Knights of Columbus as Grand Knight and District Deputy. Elroy was an avid sports fan enjoying baseball and football. Survivors include his wife, Mary Miracle, Rothschild and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Springer and Leone Kowalchyk; three brothers, Dale, Francis and Gary Miracle. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2002 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Allan Slowiak will preside. Entombment will be in the Holy Angels Mausoleum, Wausau. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the church.
