Eloise Dorothy Schmieder

July 26, 1922 — September 12, 2002

Eloise D. Schmieder, 80, 145 Eau Claire Blvd, died Thursday, September 12, 2002, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home. Eloise was born July 26, 1922 in Sparta, daughter of the late Percy and Dorothy (Ray) Shattuck. She married Archie W. Schmieder June 2, 1948 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomah. He survives. Eloise worked at the Tomah creamery and was a bookkeeper for the U.S. Government and for K Mart where she worked from 1970 until her retirement. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Eloise enjoyed flower gardening and reading. Most of all she loved her family and was a good friend. Besides her husband, Archie, Wausau, she is survived by three daughters and one son, Sheila, Monroe, Mary K., Phoenix, AZ., David (Laurel), Wausau, Ann Marie (Tony), Levelland, TX; seven grandchildren, Kim, Kris, Jennifer, Amy Jo, Tim, Eric and Ryan; one sister, Patricia Liddane, Tomah; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Shattuck, Onalaska and Lois Shattuck, Tomah. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, September, 14, 2002 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tomah. The Rev. Steven J. Kachel will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 on Friday at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church in Tomah. There will be a rosary service 7:30 p.m., Friday at the Sixth Street funeral home in Wausau. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
