Elnore Zastrow

Elnore Marie "Mutz" Zastrow 83, Weston, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 21, 1926 in Wausau, daughter of the late Herman and Anna (Radtke) Juedes. On July 21, 1948 she married William Zastrow Jr. in Wausau. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2005. As a young girl "Mutz" loved to draw, enjoyed playing baseball and skiing down the 25th Street ski slide. After marriage she worked at Marathon Battery for several years and after leaving there she dedicated her life to raising her six children. Then came the casinos. Will and "Mutz" made their weekend trips to the cottage, picked up their special friend Betty and went to make their donations to the "Torches". She also enjoyed traveling with her family, reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and listening to country music. She was happy to see Randy Travis at the fair and while making another donation to "North Star" she got to see Craig Ferguson, her favorite comedian. Survivors include her six children, Karen Pergolski, Weston, Diane (Russ) Reinicke, Harshaw, Debbie (Russ) Wadzinski, Tomahawk, Barry (Sue) Zastrow, Wausau, Luann (Ralph) Sliwicki, Weston and Allen (Lisa) Zastrow, Aniwa; fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one sister, Millie (Jack) Jablonski; three brothers, Roger (Marge) Juedes, Ralph (Gerry) Juedes and Bud (Lorraine) Juedes, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant son, William, sisters, Marion Chilla, Esther Jones and Arline Klemmer and brothers, Floyd, Eddy, Elmer, Walter and Ray Juedes. Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Entombment will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
