Elmer J. Wallner, 79, 5952 Pioneer Road, Athens, died Friday July 4, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Elmer was born May 14, 1924, in Athens, son of the late Julius and Martha (Beson) Wallner.
He was a steel construction worker and was a member of the millright and joiners of American Local Union #2337, Milwaukee. Elmer was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II.
Survivors include his beloved friend, Elizabeth Klimpke, Athens; a sister Dorothy King, Chicago; nieces and nephews, Carol (Edward) Olczak, Athens, Arthur (Carol Anne) Wallner, Waukesha, Norman Denzin, Milwaukee, David (Faith) King, River Grove, IL, and Robert (Sue) King, Fox Point. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Vivian; and four brothers, Ernie, Walter, Clarence, and George Wallner.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 10, 2003 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 312 Caroline Street, Athens. Rev. Donn Radde will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Milwaukee. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Athens funeral home.
