Elmer H. Plautz
86, 1010 East Wausau Avenue, Wausau died Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
Elmer was born March 28, 1915 in the town of Pine River, son of the late Richard and Ella (Kufahl) Plautz. He married Dolores M. Nimz June 25, 1944 in Texarkana, Texas. She preceded him in death June 17, 2001.
Elmer was employed as a concrete mason for many years.
He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II, serving in the European Theater.
Survivors include two daughters, Christy (Michael) Plautz and Faye Plautz, all of Milwaukee, three grandchildren and three brothers, Earl (Mildred) Plautz, Elgart (Marion) Plautz and Eldred (Rosemary) Plautz, all of Wausau.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2001 at Christ Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Stephen K. Wipperman will officiate. Burial will be in the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King, Wisconsin. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
