Ellen Karpinsky

Ellen Karpinsky 74, 404 - 4th Street, Marathon, died Thursday, August 2, 2001 at under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Ellen was born September 16, 1926 in England, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Platt. On November 18, 1944, she married Franklin Karpinsky in England. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1986. Survivors include 1 daughter, Ellen Schmidt, Elderon; 1 son, Kevin (Sharon) Karpinsky, Villate of Weston; 3 grandchildren, Nik Karpinsky and Matt and Alyssa Schmidt; 1 sister, Margaret (George) Carter, Clintonville; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 7, 2001 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Schofield. Rev. David Zandt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Martin Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends and relatives may call from 10:00 a.m Tuesday until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mount Olive Building Fund.
