Ella Pagel

Ella Belinda Alice (Heise) Pagel, 89, formerly of Marathon died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Ella was born April 3, 1915 in the town of Rib Falls, daughter of the late Willie and Maria (Wilde) Luedtke. She married Alfred Heise in December 1932. He preceded her in death August 1965. On March 1976 she married Norman Pagel. He preceded her in death April 1985. Ella farmed until 1968 in the town of Rib Falls. She enjoyed being outdoors, sewing, gardening, flowers, picking berries or just driving along a country road enjoying God's creation. She loved fishing and caught the fish of her life, a 39 inch, 15 A½ pound northern pike, at the age of 77. Ella is survived by her daughter-in-law Lella Heise; son-in-law Robert Nass; five grandchildren David (Kathy Bellile) Nass, Deb (Terry) Stencil, Bonnie (Rodney) Stieber, Linda (Ryan) Berg, Patrick (Lisa) Heise; fifteen great- grandchildren Jesse (Lisa) Nass, Dan (Alyson) Nass, Barrie, Robbie and Charles Nass, Jody Bellile, Rebecca, Andrea, Laura Stencil, Kyle, Jordan, Bryce Stieber, Amber and Ashley Berg, Sydney Heise; two great-great grandchildren Raigen and Tayler Nass. She is also survived by ten stepchildren Faye (Dennis) Barry, Judy Clifton, Joan Pagel, Diane (Dan) Hintz, Betty (Dean) Glatting, Sharon (Gordon) Oxley, Ronald Pagel, Gerald (Connie) Pagel, Kenneth Pagel, Charles Pagel; and eighteen step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alfred Heise and Norman Pagel, her son, Melvin Heise, her daughter, LoRayne Nass, her brother, Marvin Luedtke and her sister, Anita Behnke. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m.Thursday, March 3, 2005 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Rib Falls. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, is in charge of arrangements.
