Ella H. Kannenberg-Pregont

Ella H. Kannenberg-Pregont 89, a former Wausau resident died Tuesday August 3, 2004 at the Odd Fellow Nursing Home, Green Bay. She was born May 23, 1915 in Marathon County, daughter of the late Henry and Hattie (Thursten) Frank. She married Ernest Kannenberg on August 30, 1935 in Wausau. He preceded her in death October 27, 1976. On July 7, 1983 she married Oliver Pregont in Wausau. He preceded her in death November 8, 1994. Ella was well known for her outstanding cooking and baking skills. She was also a great conversationalist. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Grosskreutz, Wausau, Jean Vander Perren, DePere, a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Kannenberg, Wausau, 11 grandchildren and she was also blessed with great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Larry (Lois) Frank, Hatley, Raymond (Betty) Frank, Rhinelander, Henry (Ruthell) Frank, Walter Frank and Marianne (Ken) Schmidt, all of Wausau. Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Kannenberg, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday August 6, 2004 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. John Meachen will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
