Elizabeth "Betty" R. (Heindl) Folz

Elizabeth “Betty” R. Folz, 55, Wausau passed away Friday, October 4th, 2024 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born October 5th, 1968 in Marshfield, daughter of the late Urban and Rose (Ledger) Heindl.  On May 3rd, 2013 she married Mark Folz in Wausau.  He survives.

Elizabeth has worked for the past 33 years at Marathon Cheese Corporation as a group leader.  She loved animals, reading a good book, working on puzzle books, going for walks, gardening, baking, and taking an occasional trip to the casino.  Her most favorite thing to do was helping Mark with whatever project he was working on.  She was always by his side.  She also enjoyed the many fishing trips they took together.  Liz was also an avid sports fan.  She loved the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers and attended many games.

She loved her nieces and nephews, always making sure she stayed in touch with them.  Her love did not end with family.  She was always concerned about all her friends.  Her compassion was unlimited.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Folz, Wausau, her siblings, Daniel Heindl, Abbotsford, Kathleen Heindl, Homer, AK, Charleen (John) Zachman, Albertville, MN and Diane (Brian) Spangberg, Wausau, her sister-in-law, Pat (Dick) Czeck, Waconia, MN, Dennis (Nancy) Folz, Crossville, TN and Gary (Beth) Folz, Kewanee, IL, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and many friends and co-workers.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck Heindl and her mother and father-in-law, LaVerne and Dolores Folz.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.  At Elizabeth’s request please dress casual.
