Elizabeth E. "Betty" Rainville-Rohmeyer
83, Wausau, died Friday, September 5, 2008 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.
She was born June 10, 1925 in the Town of Emmet, daughter of the late Elmer and Emma (Fischer) Rainville. On February 10, 1945, she married Joseph Rohmeyer in Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1972.
It is impossible to sum up Lizzy's life in a few words. She made friends and touched so many lives everywhere she went.
Lizzy loved baking and cooking and always had a new recipe to try. Every Christmas, she always looked forward to making candy with her daughter and two granddaughters to share with family and friends. Among her many interests, she enjoyed weekly shopping adventures with her sister, Joan, going up north to the trailer and casino runs. She had a special place in her heart for all things furry and feathered, especially her little beggars, Thumper and Tinker. Lizzy always had time to pull up a chair and visit with friends both old and new. As heartbroken as we are to see Lizzy go, we know that she is visiting with countless old friends and watching over us all.
