Elizabeth M. Lang

Elizabeth M. Lang 90, Wausau, died Monday, February 25, 2008 at her home. She was born November 4, 1917 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Imhoff) Karlen. On October 12, 1938, she married Walter Henry Lang in Marathon. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1977. Elizabeth was a homemaker, and in her later years, worked as a cook for the former Bill's Fine Food, Wausau. Among her many interests, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include, four daughters, Elise Lang, Wausau, Betty J. (Clifford) Heil, Wausau, Sister Eileen Lang FSPA, Superior and Sister Marla Lang FSPA, Woodruff; four grandchildren, Dr. Michelle (Dr. Eric) Pedersen, Graffton, Steven (Stephanie) Heil, Sioux Falls, S.D., Paula (Jason) Weisenbeck, Durand, Wis. and Andy (Fiancee Joanne Doornbosch) Heil, Madison; seven great grandchildren, Jakob, Ava, Clare, Zachary, Jaren, Owen and Cole; one sister, Margaret Wilichowski, Wausau; one brother, Raymond (Betty) Karlen, Edgar; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Walter, she was preceded in death by one son, LaVerne Lang; and six siblings, Richard Karlen, Gertrude Lang, Dorothy Baumann, Leo Karlen, Norman Karlen and John Karlen Jr. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. The Most Reverend Raphael M. Fliss will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services all at the church.
