Elizabeth Krause

Elizabeth "Liz" Krause, 90, went home to Heaven on angel's wings, Thursday, October 30, 2014 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Wellington Place, Wausau. She was born May 26, 1924 in town of Rietbrock, daughter of the late John and Hedvig "Hattie" (Segalski) Sekorski. On May 22, 1944 she married Anton Krause at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1986. Liz was a hardworking dairy farmer but more importantly she was a wonderful homemaker and mother. Her family will always remember her delicious cooking, especially her apple pie and chicken dumpling soup which she always prepared without a recipe. She loved playing cards and bingo with her friends and she cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children: James (Pat) Krause, Edgar, Roseann (Ernest) Soczka, Wausau, Robert (Kay) Krause, Edgar, Linda (Vern) Franke, Wausau and Bill (Kathy) Krause, Marathon; grandchildren: Paul (Jodi) Krause, Barb (Mark) Krautkramer, Janet (Chad) Johnson, Cindy (Corey) Braunel, Keith (Katie) Krause, Michele (Pete) Norrbom, Steve (Michelle) Soczka, Brian (Jennifer) Soczka, Amy (Kim) Peche, JoAnn (Andy) Radtke, Lori Krause, Tracey (Dan) Hilgendorf, Jennifer (Rick) Towne, Chris (Jill) Fochs and Michael Krause; 22 great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Alice Krause and Pearl Sekorski and many other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Anton, she was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel, John, Alex and Paul Sekorski and sisters, Frances Orlikowski, Dorothy Paul, Josephine Adamski, Clara Nowitzke and Sister Mary Herman Joseph (Anna). The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2014 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
