Elizabeth Gertschen

Elizabeth Gertschen 78, Mosinee, formerly of Marathon, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Morningstar South, Mosinee. She was born October 24, 1929 in Marathon, daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Richart) Gertschen. Elizabeth was employed at Northern Valley Workshop retiring in May of this year. Survivors include her sister, Marie Rondeau, Mosinee and brother, Edward (Isabelle) Gertschen, Kansas. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers, Norbert, George, Gerald, Alex, Alfred and Albin and sisters, Alexia Knauf and Evelyn Gertschen. The funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. A special thank you to Bonnie Cherwinka and her staff for the tender loving care given to Betty.
