Elinor Wendorf

Elinor Wendorf, 96, formerly of Wausau, died Friday, March 15, 2002 at the Clairmont Nursing Home, Eau Claire. Elinor was born September 1, 1905 in Wausau, daughter of the late Peter and Mathilda (Edler) Springer. She married Leo Wendorf November 27, 1926 in Wausau. He preceded her in death October 14, 1989. As a Homemaker, gardening, cooking, and crafting rag rugs were a great source of enjoyment for Elinor. She is survived by one daughter, Dolores Weinke, Eau Claire; one son, Dale (Ann) Wendorf, Marathon; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family services are scheduled at Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
