Eline Nowak

Eline Nowak, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home. Eline was born in Wausau on June 27, 1924 to the late Chester and Helen Burke (Benson). In 1974 she married Michael Nowak. He survives. Eline was a CNA at St. Mary's Hospital for over 30 years before her retirement and was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Cassel. She loved to knit and play cards and was the best pie maker in the State of Wisconsin. Eline had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile on her face. She welcomed her nieces and nephews into her home and made sure to send them home with generous amounts of candy. Eline is survived by her husband Michael, Edgar; son, Thomas Bychinski, Wausau; grandchildren Kendra(Steve) Osness, Merrill, Bradley (Stephanie) Bychinski, Lakeview, Minn., Nathan (fiance' Kristi) Bychinski, Boulder, C; 4 great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Kaitlin, Tyler and Paige and Baby on the way; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tom. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer funeral home, Marathon and again on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
