Eleanore (Ostrowski) Yach
76, formerly of Hatley, died Sunday October 20, 2002 at the Homme Home, Wittenberg.
She was born October 15, 1926 in Hatley, daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Malkowski. In August 1947 she married Bernard Ostrowski in Hatley. He preceded her in death December 1, 1974. In June 1976 she married Ervin Yach in Hatley, he preceded her in death on November 28, 1979.
Eleanore and her husband Bernard were the owners and operators of the former Hatley Hotel and after their retirement, they moved to Pike Lake. In 1992 she moved to Island Place, Wausau, where she enjoyed helping others with various activities. She enjoyed crafts, fishing and playing cards.
Survivors include three sons, Rodney (Char) Ostrowski, Antigo, Randy (Linda) Ostrowski and Jef (Debbe) Ostrowski, all of Hatley, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a brother, Ray (Rosemary) Malkowski, Hatley, a sister, Verna Cherek, Mosinee and a sister-in-law, Leona Malkowski, Norrie.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Frank.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday October 22, 2002 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. Rev. Thomas Abraham will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
