Eleanore M. Fricke

Eleanore M. Fricke of Wausau, passed away September 23, 2015. She was born November 15, 1916, daughter of the late Stephen and Alvina (Kryshak) Debalske. Eleanore married Omer Fricke, on Sepetmber 25, 1937, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wausau. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1994. Eleanore worked at Herberger's and West Park Fashion. She loved to read, knit, embroider, bake and play cards. She was very proud of the fact that she had knit afghans for her two children, six grandchildren and great grandchild. She and Omer enjoyed traveling and their summers on Currie Lake with their children and grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Beverly (Ron) Esker, Ridgedale, MO; one son, Larry (Mary Magrecki) Fricke, Harshaw, WI; six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, Debra (Dave) Cunningham and their daughters, Amelia and Molly, Denver, CO, Jeff (Becky) Esker, Appleton, and their children Leah (Adam) Hartenberger, St. Nazianz, Stephanie, Minneapolis, MN, Rachel and Aaron, Appleton, Carla (Matt) Moss and their children, John and Ethan, Dallas, TX, Kelly (Jennifer) Esker and their children, Cade, Meghan and Wyatt, Marshfield, Brian (Kim) Fricke and their children, Abby and Brenna, Minocqua, Lisa (Ty) Hoffmann and their children Ben and Hannah, Delafield; one great-great grandchild, Kevin Hartenberger; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Marge and Gordon Henrichs and her brother and sister-in-law, James and Belvia Debalske. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Montgomery, the staff at North Central Health Care, to her hairdresser, Dorothy Miller, and all of the people who brought communion and visited with her so she would not be alone on the Sabbath.
