Eldora T. Myszka 84, Marathon died Saturday, July 24, 2010 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. She was born November 19, 1925 in Wittenberg, daughter of the late William and Katherine (Bedynek) Weisenberger Sr. On July 10, 1945 she married Raymond Myszka at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He survives. Eldora worked at the Marathon Bakery for many years. She loved polka dancing with her husband Ray and many friends at Poplar Tree Ballroom and Rib River Ballroom. Some of her favorite pastimes included watching baseball, game shows and playing 500 Rummy. Survivors include her beloved husband, Raymond, Marathon, her children, Janice (James) Buchberger, Marathon, Duane (Sue) Myszka, Marathon, Jerome (Linda) Myszka, California, Donna Mae (James) Martin, Stevens Point, Larry (Jerrilyn) Myszka, Tomahawk, Lyle (Betty) Myszka, Marathon, Donald (Lynnette) Myszka, Kronenwetter and Linda (Lloyd) Beckman, Wausau. Eldora was the cherished grandmother of Stacy (Shawn) Stubbe, Mosinee and their children, Natasha, Justin and Amanda; Brian Myszka, Marathon, and his children, Haley, Alexis and Courtney; Chad Myszka, Marathon and his children, RaeAnna and Jace; Jessie (Dan) Myszka, Boston, Mass; Abbey (Patrick Ryss) Myszka, Berkeley, Calif; Katie (David Wolf) Myszka, Berkeley, Calif; Emmy Myszka, Minneapolis, Minn, and her son, Louis; Wendy (Corey) Hollar, Stevens Point, and their children, Casey, Emily, Mikayla and Alex; Jeffrey (Stacey) Martin, Stevens Point and their children, Abbey and Logan; Sarah (Craig) Hutchinson, Jacksonville, N.C. and their children, Kyra and Reese, Mckenzie (Luke) Foth, Portland, Ore; Melissa (Steve) Schreiber, Wausau and their daughter, Maisyn, Jayme (Victoria) Myszka, Edgar and their children, Samantha and Valerie; Laura (Neal) Volkman, Marathon and their children, Katelyn and Madelyn; Wesley (Nicole) Myszka, Marathon and their daughter, Maycie; Greg Myszka, Marathon, Nathan (Maggie) Myszka, Wausau, Faith (Rick) Stengl, Mosinee, and their children, Lillian and William; and Erin Myszka, Milwaukee. Eldora was the fond sister of Helen (Elroy) Strasser, Edgar, Ken (Joan) Weisenberger, Marathon, William Weisenberger Jr., Wausau, Evelyn Lang, Wausau and sister-in-law, Catherine Myszka, Edgar. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Katherine Weisenberger, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jake and Mary Myszka, sisters, Laparda (Ed) Muellen, Lillian (Ed) Leitermann and Florence (Arnold) Lang and sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Bernice and Matt Pinter, Margaret and Leonard Koskey, Edward Myszka and David Myszka and two grandsons, Robby Myszka and Brian Buchberger. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Dan Crosby will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
