Eldora D. Eisenhut
68, 632 Faith Street, Athens, died Monday, January 10, 2005 at Colonial Center in Colby.
She was born November 19, 1936 in the town of Hamburg, daughter of the late Gustav and Theresa (Plautz) Kottke. On October 12, 1963, she married Wilbur Eisenhut at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives.
Eldora was a homemaker. For fourteen years, Eldora was a caretaker for the Athens Cemetery Association, and farmed in the town of Rietbrock until 1977. She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, gardening and bird watching, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include, her husband, Wilbur "Wiggie" Eisenhut, Athens; five children, Deborah (Timothy) Fleming, Edgar, Michelle (Daryl) Paul, Edgar, Jennifer (Bugger) Switlick, Marathon, Christine (Craig) Paul, Dorchester and Charles Eisenhut, Athens; eight grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Fleming, Andrew Paul, Cassandra and Nadine Switlick, Breanna, Lauren and Tristan Paul; three sisters, Arlene (Wallace) Helke, Wausau, Dorothy Zielazowski, Edgar and Mildred Krenz, Merrill; two brothers, Orlin (Delores) Kottke, Schofield and Harold (Merceda) Kottke, Wausau.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Reinhold, Edward, Roy and Elgart Kottke and three sisters, Adeline Punke, Rose Kuehn and Elsie Lehman.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the church.
There will be a bible vigil at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Athens funeral home.
