Eldor W. Brunow, 85, Wausau died Friday, March 21, 2014 in Hudson, Florida.
He was born December 9, 1928 in Lincoln County, son of the late August and Hulda (Mootz) Brunow. On October 22, 1955 he married Viola Krueger at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. She survives.
Eldor worked as a construction foreman for the Marathon County Park and Recreation Department for more than 19 A½ years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and always loved tinkering and fixing things around the house. Eldor and Viola enjoyed spending their winters down in Florida.
Eldor proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1951 thru 1953 during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Brunow, Wausau, three children, Darwin Brunow, Mosinee, Christine Brunow, Weston and Audra Brunow, Wausau and one grandson, Bryan Brunow, Mosinee, two sisters, Selta Heintz, Florida and Carol (Jerry) Goodwin, Arizona and nieces and nephews. Eldor is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Weisman, Wausau, Alice Krueger, Athens and three brothers-in-law, Raymond Krueger, Wausau, Melvin Krueger, DePere and Bennie (Doris) Krueger, Wausau.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Zach Holdorf will officiate. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
