Elaine K. Schubring

Elaine K. Schubring 76, Wausau, died Thursday May 12, 2005 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. On October 2, 1945 she married James D. Schubring in Wausau. He preceded her in death August 28, 2003. Elaine was a homemaker and a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was proud to be a member of the Bell Choir at Mount View and cherished the memory of serving as their 2004 Valentine Day Queen. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Survivors include six daughters, Christine (Nelson) Lake, Charlaine (David) Hafeman, all of Wausau, Cynthia (Jon) Schwartz, Washington, Coral Axel, Colby, Crystal (Bob) LaPean, Wausau, Cathleen (Mark) Sonnentag, Waukesha, two sons, Al (Judy) Schubring and Craig (Sue) Schubring, all of Wausau, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brothers, Warren Kurth, Iowa and Donald (Jackie) Reick, Milwaukee and her best friend, Edna Schreiber. Besides her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Reick. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday May 16, 2005 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Dr. Michael Meranda will officiate. Friends may call on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Stoddard, Dr. Alden and the staff of Mount View care Center for the wonderful care extended to Elaine.
