Edwin V. Lang

Edwin V. Lang 87, Kronenwetter, formerly of Mosinee died Saturday, September 4, 2011 at Cedar Creek Manor, Kronenwetter. He was born December 11, 1923 in Wausau, son of the late Frank and Mary (Heil) Lang. On March 13, 1954 he married LouAnn Fochs in Great Falls, Montana. She preceded him in death on February 2, 1995. Edwin worked at the former Murray Machinery for more than 25 years. He began his military career by joining the United States Army in 1943 serving in WWII. After his service in the Army Edwin entered the Air force in 1947 and later retired in 1965. Survivors include his two children, Gene Lang, Conway, Arkansas and Toni (Michael) Tambornino, Mosinee, two brothers, Fredolin (Dorothy) Lang, Wausau, Reuben (Frances) Lang, Schofield, three sisters, Ruth (John) Uhlenbusch, New York, Rose Ravellette, Wisconsin and Kathryn Kratwell, Wausau. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded by two brothers, Francis and Lawrence and two sisters, Esther Froelich and Mary Knetter. The funeral mass will be celebrated Noon Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau, The Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
