Edwin H. Flees

Edwin "Ed" H. Flees 80, North Central Health Care C Unit, Wausau, formerly of 5802 Pine Park St., Weston, died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born October 6, 1926 in Bevent, son of the late John and Theresa (Wrycha) Flees. On June 29, 1953 he married Ramona Mancl at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Milladore. She survives. Ed worked at Crestline for 13 years and was later self employed as a carpenter. He was a hard worker and a Mr. Fix-it who enjoyed gardening and most of all spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Ramona, Weston; children, Myron (Tammie) Flees, Wausau, Rev. Michael (Jo Ellen) Flees, Cresco, Iowa and Susan (Allan) Mader, Weston; grandchildren, Daniel (Melissa) Flees, Andrew Flees, both of Wausau, Joshua Flees, Waterloo, Iowa, Jennifer (fiance Paul McCaughey) Flees, Cedar Falls, Iowa and Jami (fiancAC. Nick Cluts) Flees, Traer, Iowa; brother, Ben (Jeanne) Flees, Milwaukee, many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence and two sisters, Bertha Hoppa and Bernice Jacubek. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2007 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
