Edward "Eddie" A. Skrzypchak

Edward “Eddie” A. Skrzypchak, 88, Rothschild, died Monday, December 16, 2024 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born August 18, 1936 in Marathon County, WI, son of the late Anton and Anna (Bargender) Skrzypchak.  On February 14, 1961, he married Marilyn Millikin at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, town of Cassel.  She survives.

Eddie worked for Burger Construction from 1961 until 1969 and was a member of the 139 Wisconsin Operating Engineers.  He later worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Village of Rothschild until his retirement.

Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing.  He loved to socialize with friends and family and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marilyn; three children, Angela (Mike) Mueller, Tony (Jan) Skrzypchak and Tom (Jodie) Skrzypchak; three grandchildren, Brooke Mueller, Jess Moore and Alex (Rachel) Skrzypchak; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Mya, Declan and Ireland; four siblings, Marlene Deininger, Eunice Hanson, Roland and Dale Skrzypchak; four sisters-in-law, Doreen, Donna, Lyn and Jennie Skrzypchak; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Skrzypchak; and five siblings, Mary Adamski, Jeanie Bednorski-Kluball, Valeria Olson, Frank Skrzypchak and David Skrzypchak.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau.  Rev. Joseph Albert will officiate.  Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until time of services at the funeral home.  Private burial will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on the Palliative Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the wonderful care and support for Eddie.
