Edward V. Liss
93, Edgar, died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at Wausau Manor.
He was born October 23, 1913 in Chicago, Ill., son of the late Anton and Agnes (Wronka) Liss. On June 19, 1935, he married Susie Imhoff at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. She preceded him in death on August 27, 2000.
Edward was a dairy farmer in the Edgar area for many years. Among his many interests, he enjoyed playing cards, deer hunting and ice fishing.
Survivors include, seven children, Evelyn (Dennis) Volm-Ringwelski, Ringle, Clarence (Shirley) Liss, Athens, Suzanne (Arnold) Sorensen, New Burg, Ind, Anthony (Shirley) Liss, Edgar, Marie Jaeger, Wausau, Patsy (Merlin) Krueger, Athens and James (fiancAC.e Debbie) Liss, Atascadero, Cal.; 17 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; nine step-great great grandchildren; and one sister, Estella Bourdeau, Roselle, Ill.
Besides his parents and wife, Susie, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Terry Volm; one sister, Adella Tobalsky; two brothers, Chester and Victor Liss; and two sons-in-law, Jerome Volm and Larry Jaeger.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar. Rev. Charles Hiebl will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Edgar. Friends may call on Saturday from 11a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
