Edward C. Colcord 82, 601 S. 21st Avenue, Wausau died Saturday, November 8, 2003 at his home under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Ed was born December 1, 1920 in Monroe Center, son of the late Harry and Martha (Morley) Colcord. On August 29, 1942 he married Lorraine Mohr in Wuertzburg. She survives. Prior to his retirement, Ed worked for Wausau Metals as a production cordinator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the cottage, wood working and traveling. Ed was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388, Wausau. Survivors besides his wife Lorraine include three daughters, Audrey Bishop, Schofield, Donna Borth, Wausau and Mary (Paul) Lenzner, Merrill, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Besides his parents Ed was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Rich and two brothers. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, where full military honors will be conducted by the VFW. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
