Edward G. Busko, 88, Weston, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1925 in the town of Maine, son of the late Alois and Olga Busko. On February 1, 1947, he married Joyce M. Krake in Wausau. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2000.
Ed was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II. He worked for Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing and then for Greenheck Fan Corporation for 26 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Greenheck.
Survivors include, three children, Jackie Zimmermann, Waukesha, Jan (Ron) Peck, Dripping Springs, TX and James (Deb) Busko, Wausau; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen (Norman) Mink and Dorothy (Fredolin) Lang; one brother, Harold Busko; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Joyce, he was preceded in death by one sister, Maxine Schneeweis; and three brothers, Arnold, Henry and Alvin Busko.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. Rev. Greg Bohren will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Visitation on Friday will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church. There will be a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
